Altar Boys 2023/24

The Society of St. Stephan is an organization that was created to educate and expose our altar boys to the monasteries and paramount attributes of our Orthodox Faith. Annually, we donate to the community Christmas and Easter cards, batteries to the Saint Basil’s Academy and to the Orthodox Youth Scholarship Foundation. Our spiritual founder, Father George Xenophanes, who substituted in our parish in 1997-98, speculated that an organization was needed to better prepare our altar boys for the changing liturgies and educate them in the faith. The acolytes also help parishioners clean the church and altar prior to holidays. |

All Altar Boys should arrive no later than 9:30 AM and be dressed appropriately. When arriving at Church, please light a candle in the narthex (you do not need money to do so) and make the sign of the cross and venerate the icon. If you are late to Church, please remain in the pews with your family and attend Sunday School. PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE ALTAR AFTER THE START OF THE DIVINE LITURGY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPECT AND REVERENCE TO GOD, FATHER ANDREW, DEACON EMANUEL, AND FOR THE DIVINE LITURGY.
